FinQuest: Save & Date ("FinQuest," "the app," "we," "us") is a personal-finance companion app. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the financial information you enter stays on your device — we never collect it or send it to our servers. To keep FinQuest free, the app shows ads and offers an optional one-time purchase to remove them; those features rely on third parties, which are described below.
Everything you create in FinQuest is saved in your device's local app storage so the app remembers it between sessions. This includes the financial entries you log (amounts, whether they're savings or expenses, categories, and dates), the savings goals you set, your progress (XP, levels, streaks, achievements), your in-app currency and items, your companion relationship progress, and your app preferences such as sound settings.
This information never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else.
You can export this data to a file from Settings (for backup or to move it to another device) and import it back. The export stays on your device unless you choose to share the file; where you send it is then up to you.
We, the developer, have no backend server and no user accounts, so we do not ourselves collect or store your personal information. The financial entries and progress you create are never sent to us. However, to show ads and process the optional purchase, FinQuest includes the third-party services described below, which collect limited data of their own.
FinQuest is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob (a Google service). To deliver and measure ads, the AdMob SDK may collect and process information such as your device's advertising identifier, approximate location (e.g., country), IP address, and app-interaction data. Where you consent, this may be used to personalize the ads you see.
On iOS we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and where required (for example, for users in the EEA and UK) we use Google's consent tool to let you choose between personalized and non-personalized ads. You can change this permission at any time in your device settings.
We do not share the financial information you enter in FinQuest with AdMob or any advertiser. For how Google handles this data, see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
FinQuest offers an optional one-time purchase that removes ads. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. These services receive only what's needed to complete and restore your purchase — such as a purchase receipt/token and an anonymous app-generated identifier — not your name, your payment-card details, or the financial data you track in the app. Your payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies.
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play; your use of those stores is governed by their own privacy policies, which we don't control. Apart from these services, FinQuest does not include other analytics or tracking SDKs.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can remove all FinQuest data at any time by deleting the app, or by clearing the app's data through your device settings. Once deleted, the data is gone — we keep no copy because we never had one.
FinQuest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Note that the app shows ads, and the ad service may collect device data as described in "Advertising." You can limit ad personalization through your device settings and remove all local app data at any time by deleting the app. If you believe a child has provided information through the ad service, contact us using the details below.
If FinQuest changes how it handles data — for example, by adding new services, cloud backup, or accounts — we will update this policy to describe what is collected, why, and your choices, and we will revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after such changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at finquestfeedback@gmail.com.
This policy describes the app's data practices as of the date above. It is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
